Bosses Photos

ABOUT

Photography has perhaps never been as debated as it is today. On one side, AI and mobile cameras are advancing, and on the other stands more traditional photography. The image has, for better or worse, gone from being something exclusive and unique to becoming a constant flow that washes over us – soon, no one will know if what is shown exists in our reality or AI's! At the same time, mobile phones have turned us all into photographers who feed the surroundings with "postcards" from everyday life. Fundamentally, this is a positive development because, in that process, an interest in the image itself often develops. And it is perhaps this interest that uncovers the talents of tomorrow.

For my part, the journey began when I got to borrow my mother's old box camera with 6x6 film. It was a time long before today's advanced digital cameras flanked by AI-supported editing; life in the darkroom feels today like eons away! But throughout the journey, I have been captured by one and the same fascination – the image as an expression! What makes a good picture, that it reaches out?

Even though the technology offers unforeseen possibilities and the selection is almost infinite, some images stand out and create their own world far beyond the clamorous noise. How I am to achieve that is the constant question that probably never gets a clear answer, but it is an interesting and rewarding area to explore. Hopefully, I manage now and then to create something that touches you, makes you pause for a second to drift away into the motif.

Some of my images are also represented in various photo contests and galleries. Recently, for example, the following:

  • Blackboxgallery, Portland, Oregon – Exhibition 1-20 November 2023
  • PH21 gallery, Budapest, Hungary – Exhibition 29 June -22 July 2023
  • PH21 gallery, Barcelona, Spain – Exhibition 9-15 June 2023
  • PH21 gallery, Budapest, Hungary – Exhibition 4-27 May 2023

I hope you find the images interesting and if you want to leave a comment, just send an email – it's always fun to hear what you think. If you want to receive an email when something happens, express your interest to be added to the mailing list.
